There is a collage which is managed by government. It is TAFE. There are tens of campus in Australia. Where you go you can see TAFE.
I studyed at ULTIMO campus which is the one of the biggest one in TAFE NSW - Sydney Institute. I had studied for 3 years and 2month including English Language School.
Let's see pictures of TAFE ULTIMO Campus.
TAFE Main entrance
It looks like a side entrance. ^^ Two years ago, the Building E was constructed and another entrance was made just next to the Building E . There are always security guards at TAFE and they patrolled the campus therefore, it is safe anytime during staying at TAFE.
If you go straight pass the main entrance, you can meet English Language Centre.
English Language Centre (Building H)
If you want to study at TAFE, you may need IELTS 5.5 point in general. In another hand, you can study at TAFE English Language Centre. If you pass EFT(English For TAFE) Level 4, you can admit at TAFE without IELTS point.
It is good for person who is usually unlucky in exam or doesn't like TEST. It would be better to study at TAFE English Language Centre and you can also learn how to do presentation which will give an idea when you study at TAFE. It is a long story to talk about TAFE English Language Centre so I will finish it for now.
Next place is the TAFE Library
TAFE Library (Building D)
Someone may recognise that TAFE Building were named from A to Z. It may be named for finding buildings easily without confusion. TAFE Library is opened from Mon to Fri (9:00 - 20:00) and Sat (12:00-16:00) for students who study at English Language Centre or at TAFE. Unfortunately, closed on Sunday. If you are not TAFE student, you can not use a computer and borrow book(because they check student ID card)but you can read books or study at library. In summer it is good to study in library with good air-condition. Moreover, inside of library is big and quiet so good for study. There is computer lap on G(Ground Level) and library is on Level 1-2.
Now, I will show you New Building E where I mostly study. This building is taken lessons for Hospitality Management, Cookery,Baking and Fashion Design.
TAFE Side entrance
It is a short cut to go inside of TAFE campus. There is also another entrance that is connected through the life directly to go Building E.
Outside of Building E
Inside of Building E.
There are lockers for Cookery, Baking, Hospitality Management students to keep clothes, tool boxes but you need to bring your own lock. It can be used only a day when you have a class. If you want to use your own lockers, you need to pay for that!(Go to student association centre on building Z and ask them!)
The Apprentice Restaurant
This is The Apprentice restaurant in Building E on Level 7. In last semester, Cookery students cook for customers in kitchen and Hospitality Management students serve customers. For lunch menu (3course menu)-$20 , for Dinner (4 course menu)-$25.
First picture -before setting, second picture -after setting, last picture just right before getting guest!!
Bar section in the restaurant
There are many kinds of real beverage like Fine dining Restaurant (including Wine)
TAFE Meeting point(Emergency evacuation practice)
